My Art…My Life
I love writing. I love books. There is no choice but to write. My soul cannot be quietened. The words from within cannot be contained. So, I write. I started when I was 15 years old, and wrote my first poem titled, “Don’t Give Up.”
Fast forward to present day. The stories are vast…joyful, tragic, momentous, magical, mysterious, nostalgic...everything possible under the starry sky.
Poetry is my expression.
My Art…My Life
My Art…my Life
Is exactly where it needs to be
Not any less or any more
Perfect in the imperfection
My Art…My Life
Oozes possibility
With courage and hope
For a bright future
My Art…My Life
Draws me to the power of now
Embracing everything and everyone
All is well with my soul
My Art…My Life...
Rests strongly in God
Wholly surrendering
Alive in faith, hope and love

We can sing in our hearts and minds
We can sing in our hearts and minds. How wonderful when we move our bodies. Taking from yesterday only what belongs to your dreams, walk ahead today and anticipate the blessings in the tomorrow.
let's sing and dance
the day begins
let's move forward
and realize our dreams today
to create our experiences of tomorrow

Dream Asleep, Dream Awake
Dream asleep. Dream awake. It is a series of thoughts, images, sensations of cherished aspirations and ambitions. We must envision it, taste it, and believe that it is possible. If not, then why dream.
I dream a dream
...I see it
I dream a dream
...I believe it
I dream a dream
...I love it
I dream a dream
...I hope it
I dream a dream
...I receive it
I dream a dream
...I live it

Spring Time
The earth awakens from slumber. Seeds come to fruition. Flowers blossom. Spring Time emerges
The bees are humming
Butterflies loom
The cuckoo sings
Spring Time emerges
The caress of the breeze
Fragrances linger
Beautiful melodies in the air
Spring Time emerges
The mood is happy
Sunshine heightens
Bright colours
Spring Time emerges
The time for endings
Flames for new beginnings
Love wrapping all
Spring Time emerges

Little Street Girl
Sometimes in life, you see something that leaves a mark in your memory. This little street got my attention as I drove my daily routine on a street in Johannesburg, many many years ago.
I was struck by her presence at the street corner. I just observed.
Secretly, I think she reminded me of familiar scents. Alone in the big city of gold, going about each day to achieve something, silently crying for help and hoping someone would discern.
But it was the game of five stones that took me back to my childhood, onto the stoop of my home. It was a reminiscing of emotions as a little girl playing with stones and hoping one day to play with gold.
Little Street Girl
Her days are spent at an intersection
With the vendors nearby,
Traffic lights and nature her daily surrounds
Pretty in pink, she stands at her station
Can you see, can you hear
Her cry and plea
Pretty in pink, she stands at the lights
Can you give? can you share?
She hopes someone cares
At midday she sprawls at the roadside
And as entertainment
She plays a game of "five stones"
Pretty in pink, she continues her day
Can you bless? can you love?
The little street girl

What is your story?
Your story is your own. It is relevant and real. “Marketing is no longer about the stuff that you make but about the stories you tell.” Seth Godin
Your brand story is a point of connection with customers. It is a two-way communication and actual engagement. Real-time engagement storytelling can be fun and rewarding.
How you decide to create the purchase experience will determine the value customers feel about your brand, and encourage repeat buying. How you treat customers can make or break their participation in your story.
What could happen? An impressive word-of-mouth tale narrated to others, or it is read on pages and media across the globe. Owning your story and intending to make it a great can reap boundless rewards.

“Leadership is not about titles, positions or flowcharts. It is about one life influencing another.” John Maxwell

Yes, five (5) more
During one of my strength training classes – the usual weight bar for barbell deadlift and barbell bent over row was unavailable for use. The new choice was a 10kg bar with an added 20kg, which increased the usual weight carried over the last few weeks by FIVE 5kg.
Sounds trivial? Perhaps. But perhaps not! What if the unexpected nudge was to remind me of something more significant?
My initially thinking, not more for today. However, with mindset change and accepting the moment to be stretched, I achieved to carry a higher weight sooner than planned.
What a pleasing feeling of this small achievement. There was a boost of courage and confidence.
What if one could be open-minded to small incremental steps on a daily basis?
Could it produce a good habit? A good habit to push one forward to achieving a dream, a campaign or an agenda. The consistent small habit could propel favourable results to be experienced quicker than anticipated.
The trick question. What is the FIVE (5) in your marketing plan?
Discover it. Do it. Be Surprised.
Add small stretches of good habits and attitude into daily practice. It may produce minor results today, but it sets the tone to yield greater future rewards.

Some Branding Thoughts…Inspirational Thoughts
Managing your brand is not a singular event but is a continous process. Brand is the sum total of how a business or company is perceived.
Branding is about shaping that perception.
Believe in your brand.
Create an original and authentic brand.
